Pursuant to the provisions of the Supreme People's Court on the jurisdiction of internet courts over cases, starting from Nov 1, 2025, the Beijing Internet Court (BIC) shall exercise centralized jurisdiction over the following first-instance cases that fall within the jurisdiction of primary people's courts in Beijing:

1. Disputes over the ownership, infringement, and contracts involving online data;

2. Disputes concerning the protection of online personal information and the right to privacy;

3. Disputes over the ownership, infringement, and contracts involving online virtual property;

4. Disputes arising from online unfair competition;

5. Disputes over the ownership, infringement, and contracts involving domain name;

6. Disputes arising from online shopping contracts concluded or performed via e-commerce platforms;

7. Disputes concerning online service contracts that are concluded and performed online;

8. Administrative disputes arising from administrative acts taken by administrative agencies concerning online data regulation, online personal information protection regulation, regulation of online unfair competition, online transaction management, and internet information service management; and

9. Online public interest litigation cases initiated by procuratorial organs.

Civil cases involving foreign parties and civil cases involving parties from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan region that fall within the above-mentioned scope shall be under the jurisdiction of the BIC.

With respect to the above-mentioned civil disputes over contracts and other property rights and interests, the parties may, in accordance with the law, agree that the internet court located in a place with an actual connection to the dispute shall have jurisdiction.

Where the parties agree to the jurisdiction of an internet court by means of standard clauses, such agreement shall comply with the provisions of laws and judicial interpretations regarding standard clauses.

For cases previously under the centralized jurisdiction of the BIC, namely "disputes over financial loan contracts and small loan contracts where the conclusion and performance are completed on the internet", "disputes over the ownership of copyright or neighboring rights of works published on the internet for the first time", "disputes arising from the infringement of copyright or neighboring rights on the internet of works published or communicated online", "product liability disputes arising from the infringement of the personal or property rights of others due to the defects of products purchased through an e-commerce platform", as well as traditional online tort disputes involving infringement of reputation rights, image rights, general personality rights, and property rights, please file lawsuits with other courts that have jurisdiction in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Procedure Law and relevant laws and judicial interpretations.
