BIC vice-president addresses copyright governance at 2024 Beijing Culture Forum
A seminar themed on the protection and governance of innovative development in the digital era was held in Beijing on Sept 20. Zhao Changxin, vice-president of the Beijing Internet Court (BIC), attended the seminar and spoke at the roundtable session on copyright protection and governance in the digital era.
Those in attendance discussed application innovation and protection of digital technology in copyright utilization. Zhao gave a brief introduction of BIC's jurisdiction, the Tianping Blockchain platform and the pre-litigation mediation mechanism involving copyright-related disputes. He also shared BIC's judgement concepts of some typical cases such as the country's first copyright case involving AI-generated images.
The seminar was hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Copyright as a sideline event of the 2024 Beijing Culture Forum.
