On Nov 20, the Beijing Internet Court (BIC), together with the cyberspace administration and education commission of Beijing's Xicheng district, carried out a law popularization activity at Beijing Fendou Primary School and Beijing No 14 High School, as part of the court's efforts to publicize the latest regulation on protecting minors in cyberspace, which will come into effect on Jan 1, 2024.

Sun Mingxi, head of the juvenile tribunal of the BIC, mainly lectured such topics as minors' online surfing features, legislation of minors' online protection, online protection of personal information, prevention of internet addiction and infringement of minors' legitimate rights and interests. The lecture aimed to guide students towards healthy online behavior and to raise their self-protection awareness.
