BIC wins awards in 4th Essay Solicitation among Youth for Copyright Powerhouse in New Era
The awards for the fourth essay solicitation on copyright among youth was recently announced. Two essays from the Beijing Internet Court (BIC) won first and second prizes and the BIC won the organizational award for a third consecutive year.
Hou Rongchang, an assistant judge of the BIC, won first prize on the writing of a research paper on the identification of indirect copyright infringement liabilities of an online livestreaming platform. Judge Yi Yan won second prize for a paper on the deconstruction of jurisdiction on image copyright protection and construction of hub platform governance.
The essay solicitation event was hosted by China Copyright magazineunder the guidance of the Copyright Protection Center of China.
