A senior workshop organized by the National Judges College visited the Beijing Internet Court (BIC) on July 23 for an onsite teaching and exchanges.

With 200 judges and procurators from across the country, the group visited the BIC online litigation experience zone, litigation service hall, self-service zone and online courts. They experienced the application of the AI judge, the facial recognition access control system, the virtual reality glasses, and the automatic document generator.

They marveled at the court's intelligentization and informationization achievements after learning about the court's mechanisms for full process online litigation and its Tianping blockchain.

Afterwards, the group watched the video of the trial against a leading Chinese video streaming service platform making demands for extra payment for "advance screening on-demand" access to a popular TV show. They all agreed with the values and ideas conveyed from the case's judgment and applauded the BIC's judicial principle.

The onsite teaching session was followed by a lecture at the National Judges College themed on online litigation rules and judicial blockchain-based evidence storage.

The event enabled the judicial group to know about the online litigation rules and electronic evidence storage platforms. It also helped the BIC to further summarize its working methods and upgrade its online litigation model.
