Beijing Internet Court president attends 1st Internet Nomocracy Forum

Zhang Wen, president of the Beijing Internet Court, made a keynote speech at the first Internet Nomocracy Forum held in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 9.

At the forum, which was themed on the law-based governance of cyber society, Zhang gave a speech focused on how to promote governance by setting up rules based on judgments of the Beijing Internet Court and its trial practices. She shared with attendees the hot cases the court has heard after it was established on Sept 9, 2018, as well as what the judges have learned from them.

Through intensive trials of specific types of cases, the court will cultivate a group of judges who are proficient in trials skills and have a good understanding of technology and industry development, according to Zhang. She said the court will have a series of classic cases that involve technological innovation, and will balance the interests of different parties and standardize market rules. It will be a pioneer in the process of rule of law for future human society by offering it with intelligent justice as a Chinese solution. 

Zhang's paper on solving the illegal cyber space traffic through judicial disputes resolution was included in the forum's collected papers.
