Zhang said the establishment of internet courts was an active response to judicial challenges in the new era, and an important measure to advance the country's governance modernization. Since its establishment four years ago, the BIC has striven to play its functional role in areas including rule establishment, system improvement and cyberspace governance, in a bid to contribute a strong judicial guarantee to building China into a strong cyberpower, she said.
