Oriental Horizon, a household CCTV news program, aired a session on fan culture governance on Sept 13 which quoted statistics and analysis by the Beijing Internet Court (BIC) from trialed cases relating to this topic.

Starting with recent examples of undesirable fan culture, the program introduced specific rectification measures taken by multiple government departments. Statistics from BIC cases involving damage to celebrity's reputations and the analysis of online opinion anomie were introduced.

Following this, People's Court Daily and Beijing Daily published articles on fan culture governance, both quoting the BIC's research report on fan culture and the online speech and behavior anomie of adolescents. Specifically, features of and reasons for the anomie were provided and suggestions were offered.

The articles were featured on media like cctv.com, ifeng.com and sina.com.cn, generating over 15 million views, as well as over 500 comments and 3000 plus forwardings.
