By interpreting the two concepts of "online service provider" and the "safe harbor" rule, Zhang combined some provisions from in the Civil Code and the guideline for trials of copyright cases from the Beijing High People's Court, and concluded that judges need to combine both life experience and considerations for specific situations when hearing cases related to information network dissemination rights.
The lectures were well received by the attending faculty and students. They were part of the BIC's efforts to foster complex judicial talents, as well as a positive exploration of judicial case study exchanges.
