Beijing Internet Court, Institute of Law of CASS expect more exchanges
A delegation of Beijing Internet Court led by its president Zhang Wen took a survey to the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on Dec 25.
Since the Beijing Internet Court was founded, it has focused on promoting smart upgrading of its e-litigation platform, improving litigation mechanism, summarizing judgment rules and innovating social governance models, said Zhang. The court developed a work philosophy of forming rules through judgments and using them to improve governance, and then to facilitate development, according to Zhang.
The court is expected to increase exchanges, co-build a research base and strengthen cooperation in such fields as releasing typical cases, she said.
Zhou Hanhua, deputy director of the institute, after briefly describing the history, functions, academic platforms and research results of the institute, said he hopes to build a mechanism for regular communication and exchanges so as to together contribute to strengthening cyberspace governance and the modernization of governance capability.
The court is expected to play the leading role of judgment rules in areas such as exterritorial jurisdiction, rights to data, platform governance and intellectual property rights protection, said Zhang.
