AIPPI delegates visit Beijing Internet Court

A group of intellectual property professionals, led by Renata Righetti, president of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), visited Beijing Internet Court on May 29. 

Among the foreign delegates were also Shoichi Okuyama, second vice-president of the AIPPI and Olga Sirakova, secretary general of the AIPPI.

Renata Righetti visited the online litigation area, the new petition reception office and the internet court prior to the forum.

She also experienced the convergence of law and technical innovation, including blockchain, facial recognition, and intelligent speech recognition.

Renata took a closer look at the internet trial mode and spoke highly of the achievements made by the Beijing Internet Court.

At the forum, Olga Sirakova, secretary general of the AIPPI, introduced about the resolution system of the AIPPI and expressed her hope of seeing a greater presence of the Beijing Internet Court at the AIPPI World Congress.

Jiang Ying, vice-president of Beijing Internet Court introduced the e-litigation platform and answered relevant questions at the forum.

Established in 1897, AIPPI is the world's leading international organization dedicated to the development and improvement of legal regimes for the protection of intellectual property.

It is a politically neutral, non-profit organization, domiciled in Switzerland, and currently has over 9000 Members representing more than 100 countries, according to the official website.
